engine turns over ,will not start, no smell of petrol ?,checked connections i could see,none loose. following day about to ring RAC, tried it and it started 1st time?? now scared to use in case it does it again.

My Punto is doing the same. Our mechanic has had the car a week and been using it without any problems at all. Got it home last night and now this morning it's not starting again.

I'm not sure if it's something I doing wrong when turning the ignition key. Anyone help at all please?
