hi all iv just got a second hand oven its a baumatic b721 every time i try to turn power switch on it blows the rcd have had socket tested and all is fine their anyone any ideas please
2 choices element to earth or switch contact welded.still stand by element unless it is wired up incorrectly?

we had a sparky test the socket and he put a test on cooker and said it seems to have a reading of power on when all is turned off ?????? it got him baffled lol

has it been stored for a while?.if so could be damp in elements causing your house rcd to trip.need to test which element it is that is low insulation down to earth with a meter or disconnect elements one by one and retry each time
