The correct method is:-
1) Hold in button by speedo
2) Switch ignition ON (not start)
3) "SERVICE" will be displayed in trip counter
4) Release the button
5) Turn the button by the rev counter to the RIGHT
6) Display will now reset
7) Switch ignition OFF
If your car is on a longlife service plan the "SERVICE" can only be reset with the correct diagnostic equipment

If you have two buttons in the dash, hold them in while you turn the ignition on, keep holding until service stops flashing, about 5 sec, then turn, I think left button until service indicator goes out. Reset
