our whiteknight37aw tumble dryer is making a loudish scraping noise.i have had the back off and the heating element part off as well,there looks like a metal contact point has worn. can this be the cause of the scraping noise and can that small piece be replaced.

undo the whole back panel and carefully lift the drum out the top.Tight fit.this will give you full access to assess damage
