how can i fix vauxhall cavalier j reg 92 1.6?

timing belt snapped just replaced it car will not start

hi i have a cavalier 92 1.6 the eng is safe the pistens do not touch the valvs the eng it self is fine check the dissey is in right postion it might on been moved and check leads

have you checked the compresion on all the cylinders, you may find one of the valves is bent. is the cam belt positioning correct? if not the valves will be opening and closing out of time, potentially damaging the valves if they colide witht the piston. it will also not start , it mat may misfire if this is the case
