i have a 1998 8valve 1.6 astra. it has started to be unresponsive, it is reluctant to accelerate. once it does decide to it refuses to give the power constantly. it has got to the point now where i cant risk using it as i am constantly blocking the road due to lack of power if i have to stop. help. thanx

cud be loads of things but try some simple tings first befor goin the garage . change the petrol filter avalable from moaste car shops remove the fuel suck up pipe from the tank sometimes theres a gauze filter on this tha gets cloged . ule proberbly need a haynes book firstthough , remember no smokin around petrol ,sounds stupid i know but ive seen it and its result.
