ow do l set the timing on my Empisal Celebrity 550?

how do l set the timing on my Empisal Celebrity 550. hv tried to change the needle still it does not pick the bobbin thread.

I believe things like that are set, so cannot be changed, so look elsewhere for the problem, try taking the bobbin assy apart and cleaning, make sure all areas are clean, make sure bobbin is wound correctly, check tension etc
