My 1995 Mercedes Sprinter van won't start as it should. The glow plug light does not come on with the ignition but when the van finally starts the glow plug light comes on for 30 seconds. What do I need to fix to get my van starting normally?

your model relys on the glow plugs to pre heat the injected fuel. should be a 601 engine in yours. if 2 of the glow plugs have failed, pig to start. the system warns you it has at least 1 failed, by putting the light on for 2 minutes after starting, so guess what, you have at least 2 bad glow plugs. fit a set, as the new ones will bring the old ones down, so they wont last long. easier job then it looks.
