their is a yellow warning light on the instrument panel i think its the engine management and all the operations keep going off ie petrol gauge, clock etc can any one give me a clue as to fixing it

What a surprise, a Renault with electrical problems. You obviously didn't look in search before you bought it, as you would have seen all of the problems that others have had with them. Type "Renault" into the search box and you will see for yourself, then get rid of it and buy a Skoda, much more reliable.
