My computer fell and now the door on the disk drive won't stay shut. Not to mention now my curser skips around when I'm typing. When I type something next thing I know i'm at the beginning or middle of a paragraph. I have a dell Inspiron 2650

when you shake it does it rattle?
It sounds like either a loose connection and/or there's a bit of metal short circuiting it inside. Was the computer on when it fell? Laptop drives are notoriously tricksy at the best of times. There's a little catch on the drawer that locks it in. If that's broken off it's new drive time. That or duct tape...
