How easey is it to replace an earth cable on a Peugeot 206?

I need to change the earth cable is it a straight forward job I need to give instruction to my daughter

my daughter was told the earth cable could be the cause of her none starting problem she has called out insurance break down twice and both have said the same I.m 350 miles away so cant get down to help

remove the + positive terminal from the battery /remove the - negative terminal from the battery.you will notice that the negative cable is still attached to the chassis.undo the torx headed bolt securing the lead,clean up the anchorage point with a little sandpaper to ensure fitment of the new cable is fully grounded and replace with new.

Really there is no earth cable, You have positive and negative, the one that goes to the vehicle chassis, is known as the ground, usually negative, the negative from the battery, would go to the chassis via a short length of cable, one fitting is the battery terminal, the other would be a bolt through an Eye, but for that thickness of cable to need changing, never heard of it, even if the fitting was damaged, put a new fitting on. What is the problem, you are trying to fix.
