Fisher Paykel soft touch dish washer 918TD F1 error code?

Hi there,

My Fisher & Paykel soft touch dish washer 918TD all of sudden stopped working. It keeps beeping and shows "F1" error code on the display.

According to some of posts here the "F1" error code means the flood switch in the bottom of the washer has been triggered, and the approach would be to remove the service panel below the door and find out where is leaking water.

My questions are:
1. How to remove the service panel?
I have tried unscrewing the only screw in the centre of the bottom edge of the service panel but couldn't remove it. It has been loosen enough but it doesn't want to come off, looks to me that I have loosen the nut at the other end.

2. If I find where the water leaks, how do I go about fixing it?

Hi there,

Thanks for the assistance, I managed to open the panels and dried up the lower tray. And yes out of 8 screws of the roller rail one of them is very loose, almost about to fall off. I have tighten them all and are now testing it. Fingers crossed.

Again really appreciate your help!

Regards.

Wrong screw. That one is holding the tab for the earth wire. There is a phillips head screw on each end of the trim panel. Screws up in to the cabinet body. Turn power off at wall first. Remove the two screws and disconnect earth wire. Second panel just slides up & out. Disconnect 2nd earth wire. Dry out lower tray. Put power back on & run dishwasher and watch if any water starts coming back in to tray and if so where it is coming from. A good torch helps. If no water comes back then replace the two panels. Do not put hands in near wiring with power still on at wall. Some parts on this model are live even when dishwasher is not running. Tip: Check rollers for top basket runner. The screw which holds roller to inside cabinet wall comes loose & causes leaks. Do not remove the screw. Just tighten it up as much as possible.
