Hi we have a 1999 (mk 4) vauxhall astra cd di 2.0 diesel. we have only just bought the car and cant get it started. we had to buy a new key and have it programmed when buying it and cant manage to get any power to the fuel pump and was wondering if the transmitter relay is part of the starting system and does it have any effect on the immobiliser as we have noticed there is a space missing where a transmiter relay would go xxx PLEASE HELP xxx
so without the relay it wont start. fingers crossed if we stick a relay in it will fire, thankyou xXx

the relay has been removed. most likely because of a immobiliser fault.the immobiliser cuts the power to the fuel pump,or maybe the owner had removed it as a security measure.
