why is my catylac converter glowing red and have no power?

changed timing belt on 1998 chevy tracker had two timing marks puy on one mark would not start put it on the other mark and started fine, now my catylac converter is glowing red and i have no power cant get the tracker over 45 mph please help

Sounds like you timing is wildly out. Get a proper book with instructions to fix it or get it fixed or you will cause more damage.
