Coffee spilled on gas hob resulted in fuse blowing. Taken back and top off but no obvious signs of damage or shorting etc. Been over a week so any residual moisture should have gone by now. Have got a multimeter and know how to use it just need a few obvious places to check first. Thank you in advance.

multi meter no use u need a megger to do a insulation test,that puts a five or a 1000 volt test from live to earth,live to neutral,to show up any shorts to frame,be sure to disconnect the unit from mains try 500 range first,set it on meg ohms scale,and dont touch the unit when u test or u will get a shock from test meter
