freezer part of my fridge/frezzer iceing up?

hi i have a simpson fridge freezer and the bottom part of the freezer ices up and everything in it defrosts what can i do

hi,the series or model number would of helped more for me to diagnose the problem with your australian manufactured appliance.I have the schematics for most of the frost free and twin compressor models.I suggest that you allow the fridge/freezer to fully defrost.24 hours.if the icing on the evap panel returns then you have a fault with the evaporation circuit. you will need to check the defrost timer and evaporator/heater.it could be something simple like a blocked or frozen defrost drain.unplug the fridge/freezer and remove the lower rear panel to gain access to the compressor/s.as its defrosting make sure you can see water going into the evap tray on the compressor for the freezer.make sure this pipe is not blocked.use a straw to unblock/clean out the pipe.
