Some times, Windows will get awry and display the same thing more than once.
It's not caused by any virus or other malware, it's just an anoying glitch.
When I got hit by that abnomaly, I never found how to correct the display, but it eventualy did correct itself after some time.
In my case, it was almost every single desktop icon that got replicated, no mather how old they where.
