my renalt magan scenic wont start?

when i try to start my renalt megan scenic it is not turning overe and the dash reads select neutral. please help

the switch which tells the car you are in neutral before starting is faulty. Try deprssing clutch all the way and hold while starting. oh and to the last reply...why bother writing anything if you are not going to help ?
