how to replace Oven Element?

I need to replace a belling Omeg Electric cooker lower oven element?
Dave Celt, December 2011
hello dave, isn't the omega range fan assist?.if your model is,then the element sits around the fan.its located inside the oven compartment on the rear panel.simply remove this panel to expose the element and fan.test the element with a multimeter for continuity or a reading of 16 ohms or more.the model number is most important when ordering said element, you need the correct wattage.take a look at www.espares.co.uk

turn off (ALL)the power going to the cooker first, pull it out so that you can get at the back of it, Take the back off, follow the wireing down to that element, when you can see the element, take a photo of the 3 wires on the element so you know how to put them back on the new element. Take the wires off the old element and tape the off and keep them apart, take out the element, take it to your hardwear store" get one the same shape and power, you can use the rest of the cooker wile the element is out, But ( DO NOT ) turn on the oven, make sure the 3 wires are taped off first, and apart, just be safe and work with ALL the power off going to that cooker, its not a hard job to do. once you can get to the element.
