veritas alarm STILLwill not set?

put new battery in my veritas 6 alarm when i try to et from key pad it allows me to put code in ,usually it beeps for 10sec for exit,now it gives continuos 2 beeps ,ex beep beep,beep beep,continuosly,doesnt stop after 10seconds.help
