Central locking "clicking"?

I've got a 53 Galaxy 1.9 TDI. Central locking just about works, but get a constant "clicking" from car when a door or tailgate door is left open, also, maybe this is a coincidence , but headlights are weak.
Has anyone got any ideas?

check wiring inside the rubbers for broken/shorting connections.these are all the rubbers to the doors PLUS ones to tailgate which might be a good place to start.if the tailgate release handle sticks the central locking keeps trying over and over. Also check the connections in the main fuse box mounted next to the battery for burning.
