How do I replace the belt - Hotpoint Aquarius Condenser dryer, model TDC32P?

How do I replace the belt on my Hotpoint Aquarius Condenser dryer, model number TDC32P?
Kathy, October 2006
Finished putting my dryer back together and just wanted to say cheers to Ian B. Took me 2 hours (only due to watching a video on youtube which wasn't helpful for this model of dryer)...but touch wood its working fine and has saved me a few bob too. Cheers

This isnt easy...

Remove top (two screws at rear), remove right hand side panel (looking from front) (three screws at rear one underneath) Remove centre and right hand screws holding underside of front panel. Slide it forward and drum will come away from felt lined runner. Slip new belt over drum and re-assemble front! Looking at open side, you will see the motor spindle enter a white plastic housing on the left, there are four retaining clips holding the top of the housing on, open these by pushing them in and lift off the top. Inside there is a white fan on the end of the spindle with a spring clip holding it in place, remove this and slip belt over spindle, onto the toothed part of spindle and into the tension pulleys. reassemble fan and housing. replace side and top and thats it?
