the door is closed, cycle finished but I think something has happened to the silver handle, maybe broken as very loose. Need to get door open as husbands work clothes are stuck inside. Is there any way I can get the door open manually?

if you say the door handle feels loose it sounds as if its broken even though they are quite a strong handle, try giving it a thump (no need to break it) and it may release. it will probably need the front panel to be removed to get at it from the back. if it releases with the thump it would signify a door interlock switch going faulty
