How can I fix my Firebird 90 oil burner?

I have a Firebird 90 oil burner. It comes on and then stops burning. The fan abd pump are still running. I cleaned the photocell and there is oil to the pump. Can you help me please. Thanks.

I would like to thank you all for your help. I identified a number of problems with the burner. Fuel line damaged, Fan vent not opening properly and hydraulic piston leaking. Blades on fan damaged. Unable to remove it as it was rusty. The controller board was also corroded and it only supplied power to the electrodes intermittently. Optical sensor also corroded. The filter in the fuel pump was clogged and damaged. I cleaned the combustion chamber and replaced the very old burner with a new one. A lot happier now that all is working well. Thanks again.

Thanks Old Guy. Must Buy a pressure gauge at he weekend.

Did you not know the pressure is adj. with a gauge?

Hi Stephen, thank you for your reply. I have cleaned the boiler. It is quite old and very dirty. Just moved in to this place. I'm not sure if the pressure is adjusted correctly. The pressure screw seems to be adjusted out ,anti clockwise. One more turn and it might fall out. It takes a while to ignite and then stops heating after about 40 minutes. No more heat after this. Sorry for being so vague, it must be hard to comment on something you cant see.

have tried the compositor in the burner or have you cleaned out your burner
