janome embroidery machine?

I have a Janome Embroidery machine but my thread keeps getting caught around the bobbin on the top when it is being used, this causes the thread to then snap and I have to re thread the needle again, is there anything I can do to stop this happening?

it now start getting a bit technical cause you need to know where to start looking, suggest removing bobbin case and loosen screws that hold tension spring to see if their is dirt between spring and case body.after that it might be a question of hook timing moving cause off play on gears or shaft.try tension first before resort to timing. good luck

Hi Johan, the model is a 200e, sometimes it does it fine but often it stops unwinding from the thread (on the right hand side if that makes any sense) causing the thread to tighten and the thread to then snap, it is not catching around the stopper.

thanks for your assistance

could be the position finger not correctly set depending on model you have got, front loader or top loader machine,on top loader could be wrong bobbin or bobbin case stopper not correctly set. their must be 1.5mm between stopper and case and on toploader .3mmbetween hook and finger. please supply model if you can
