leak in front storage boxes. grand scenic?

I have a grand scenic 05 reg! its drivin me bonkers. the 2 front storage boxes r soaked with water, but the 2 rear ones r fine! I'm a mum of 4,and unclear how to repair this. Dont fancy taking it to Renault to be repaired as they charge the earth for repairs. Does anyone know and reliable mechanics in the Merseyside area???? or would like to put it in simple form for me to try and repair?

Hi Kath - if you can't sort it and want a really good reliable mechanic at a fair price try Grahams Autos in Prescot Tel 0151 426 7234, he's in the Good Garage Scheme and won't rip you off.

There are drainage holes they come out of the bit between the front doors and wing there shld be a rubber with any form of plant matter or accumulated dirt..or your scuttle tray was not properly refitted..hv u had a clutch done recently

Sorry. I mean in the footwell there r 2 storage boxes on the floor. They are wet. The carpet above the boxes are dry so I'm not sure the water can b comin from above the floor level such as window seals. But iv checked all seals and they all seem fine! I dry out the water and within 3 days it's filled again.

storage boxes were in the car ; do you mean the glove box or door boxes as you relate to front and rear i assume you mean doors if so are your door seals intact /window rubbers/or your doors might be filling with water because the drain holes at bottom of door are blocked , if no help try to be accurate with further descriptions and i will think again about your problem
