My Hotpoint ultima tumble dryer tdc62 has stopped producing hot air?

Any ideas on how to fix it? The drum is still going round ok and the button functions work just no heat.

My Indesit did the same thing, Washing machine repair man told me that in 90% of no heat in tumble driers, it is down to the thermostat needing resetting. Turn the drier around so you can see the back, there should be a big metal housing on the back of the drier. Undo the screws holding this onto the back of the drier, the thermostat is housed in this. Try not to take all the screws holding the thermostat to the housing out as this is fidly to put back. In my Indesit the thermostat was a thin black box shaped thing! In the top was two small holes, take a sewing needle or pin and push it into the left hand hole, you should hear a click, you have then reset your thermostast. put everything back and try, mine worked again first time. It is a five minute job and worth a try. Make sure the drier is unplugged before taking the back off though.
