Anyone with any idea?

Hi< I have a galaxy mk3 2009 reg. When overtaking and in 5th gear without moving the throttle the rev counter will increase about 500 revs only then to drop back. It would suggest a clutch slip but it would then happen in all gears? The car has 43000 miles on it now. Hope some can help.

drive down road 2nd or 3rd gear rest your foot on clutch peddle like ya not supposed to, just enogh to drop pedle roghly 1 inch and accelarate hard,if enjin revs up lift ya foot off if revs drop back then cluch is worn, you may notice the peddle is high for biting point, will be advised req flywheel n slave cylinder, ther are some solid fly wheel conversions available n save a lot in oe price, not sure how good thay are thow,,
