my bike back fires when i turn it over ?

i have a peugeot elyseo 125 y reg 2001 the bike had been stood for 2years i bought it put the carb back on and the fuel pump it was turning and firing fine when it started up oil started spuing out of the breather pipe so i blocked it of then it came out of the seal at the back of the varitor kit its not doing that now but now when i turn it over it back fires and does not start what could this be

yeah saves doing the timing and everything i piked an engine up for about 150pound so wasnt to bad realy mate

piston rings are nakad and the barrel is shaged just got new engine thanks

Think this engine had a problem before you got it, you need to take the head and barrel off to find out why it's pressurising the crankcase, possibly a re-bore needed. Blocking off the breather tube has just cost you a new oil seal or gasket elsewhere too!
