my westinghouse ld605e tumble dryer is not heating?

WARNING...Be extremely cautious when working with mains supplied equipment. Unless you are a competent person, leave it to a repair technician!!
I have the same issue. You need to check there is power to the element when dry selected. If so, check the element for continuity. if open circuit, replace. With mine, there was no power but the element was okay. I removed the front panel and checked suppy (12vdc) to the HEAT relay. With mine there was no power. Applying 12vdc from the RUN relay, caused the heater to come on, so the issue was with the relay driver or further back. I dont have the facilities to replace surface mount electronic components so I am stuck with replacing the whole circuit board at AU$125 (sucks!)
Hope this helps..Andy
