I have a hoover hnl662 that is making an unbearable noise when spinning. It sounds like the drum could just spin off. Is there an easy solution? We have checked the filter and unblocked that but no change.
Main bearings need to be replaced. Major job. Ask for quotes first so you don't get too much of a shock when you come to pay the bill.

Drum probably has come off, well from 1 of the bearings anyway. Bearing set from the sound of it. about £20 DIY £100+ get someone in. labour intensive, drum unit has to be removed, along with other bits, that are in the way.
