Scantronic 9600 keypad blank/dead?

I have a Scantronic 9600 alarm and it was working before I rented my house out, and now I have moved back in the keypad is completely dead. Any ideas? (I can see the room sensors still lighting up so guessing power is still getting to the alarm). Is there a separate battery / power source for the keypad? many thanks

open keypad check to see if you have power to it,if you dont then fault in end station, its a very old but good panel,if you have engineering book then you could try to reset it back to factory conditions, this somtimes can rectify fault check battery first, make sure you check cable to keypad for damage,

No it has not been serviced, I changed the battery a couple of years ago. Is the thinking that I should change the battery again and it should work? (Assumed it would still be powered by the mains power?). Also without a working keypad I cannot get the alarm into engineering mode, which is what I did last time I changed it) thanks.

Had it serviced?
Duff battery can cause that.
