GSM autodial alarm?

I have recently fitted this alarm to my unit/lockup.The alarm goes off several times a night for no reason. This is the second complete system now (same fault) that I have fitted.Ihave had to immobilise the alarm because iam fed up with these false alerts,.Which kind of defeats the object.Any ideas welcome pleeeese.

OK Alarm, lets imagine this guy dosent have the budget to upgrade, which is why i suggested what i did, We are in a resession where cash is tight for people, I certainly wouldnt describe a solution as a lash, If money is available you could fit Active beams,
Its no different than sequencial really, So would you describe Sequencial as a Lash up. No you wouldnt.

Thankyou, the roof space pir was the problem.Evidently I was rarther lazy in fitting,or the lack off.I had just rested it on the suspended ceiling .

To add, maybe a TDM would be better in this situation, its what they were made for.

WTF is the chance of two DT`s in parallel going off?
If its that bad then you change the technology, not lash something together.

Put it on a existing system and see if you can get it to trip correctly and consistently.
Even before DT`s they had other methods rather than bunging two PIR`s together.

Here Here GTS, If you install the correct equipment in the first place you should not have false alarms, You could fit 2 x Dual Tec's in parallel if its a really hostile place, Really depends if it needs to be Graded or not, Double knock is an option,
Ive just realised youve bought a pile of junk, So its a case of disconnecting it, putting it in a rubbish bin, and start again with a proffesional system.

Nick, January 2012
alarms do not go of for no reason, they are either fitted by idiots, who have no idea what they are doing,or they are cheap junk,i have been in the trade 40 years, and when i get calls for alarms going for no reason, its either cheap junk,or user not have a clue what they are doing

how about advising him to use a test meter to test the system?or is that to easy ?

gts, January 2012
no name, the guy clearly has no idea what he is doing ,he be better to get a pro in,

gts, January 2012
Ok kevin,.Hears how I see it,omit or disconnect each device simultaneously to troubleshoot the system.Because this is your second system, with the same problem, then you have to question your ability in the fitting of this system, incorrect R/S/D/ gap,PIR sensor positioning...Its basic physics. Most PIRs can detect rodents.... so location is paramount, any ledges directly below or adjacent to these PIRs?.Sounds like the problem is with the initial installation.....not a problem with the alarm...

Only using two pirs and one rollershutter door switch, the two sensors are protecting one roof space and the office if the roller door contact fails to detect. many thanks.

kevin heart, January 2012
Are you using only PIRs with this system?.Any door/ window contacts?..Tell us what covering devices you have ...before you rush out and buy a replacement system.

buy a descent system mate
