hi folks, i have purchased this pioneer torro at what i thought was a good price but now i have gave it a good look over... im not so sure.
1st the exhausts have been replaced ( the sellers excuse was that he didnt like the original ones) and i have found some air coming from where the silencer/muffler conects to the exhaust down pipe.

2nd... i havent ridden the bike yet but have been moving it about in my back garden with the engine off... and when i try moving up and down the gears ( yes the clutch is in )i find it a real effort and as i have never ridden a proper bike before, just scooters... im worried incase theres something wrong with the gears as when i use my hand to go up and down the gears i realy have to work at it, surely it should be easy.

so here we have it folks... my worries are the exhaust and gears, it starts fine... im booking myself in for an early cbt on manual bikes so i am confident riding the bike, by the way... i realy love this bike and i have had chinese scooters before.

any help would be great guys, i have a source for bike repair but he is realy expensive.

first check the engine oil level is correct, as the gearbox could be running in the same oil, then ride the bike a short distance using all the gears, its harder trying the gear lever by hand as it's meant to be foot operated. Buy some exhaust repair paste from a motor factors anywhere, remove muffler, add paste, refit muffler, clamp tight, warm up exhaust gently to set the paste hard.
