Hi I have a 2000 focus and my doors will only lock using the key on the passengers side. When I try to lock with the remote it locks and instantly unlocks . Also after locking on the passenger side I can unlock with the remote but the passenger side stays locked . Any ideas will be a big help.

the pasenjer door latch has faild,or the lume in door shut, but if it still comands the other locks i suspect its latch,

As it locks then unlocks, one of the lock sensors faulty, Or.I would 1st check the connector units, door to frame, plug and socket type quite often. unplug them, from behind the rubber boot covering them, check the connections any signs of corrosion etc, thats possibly the problem, try contact cleaner/lubricant spray. Worked on my back door, which would not unlock at all.
