how can I fix zanussi aquacycle 1000 washibg machine?

I have zanussi aquacycle 1000 washing machine ive attempted numerous times to pick cycle on machine and it starts to take n water but stops each time and start button starts flashing and will go no further can anyone help ne with this problem
