When I turn the tumble dryer on from the mains it automatically comes on without setting a program and then we cannot turn it off by the " off" button only by the mains. If left on it trips the electric board!! Any suggestions??

you need to get a look at the on and off button. to see why its staying on,, do this with it unpluged, and no power going to it, it must be sticking in the on mode, if its tripping the power , not a good idea to use it , untill you find out the problem.
