My Fisher & Paykel Intuitive 810 keeps turning itself off?

My Fisher & Paykel Intuitive 810 keeps turning itself off when it changes to the next cycle. What can I check for? Or do I need to call the serviceman?
Thanks

Just wanted to let you know that you were right. It was the drain pump that needed replacing. New one installed and the machine is working like a dream - again! Thanks for your help.

Ok if it runs drain pump and goes right through the final spin cycle then it may not be the pump overheating. Best to wait for the repair company to check it. Make sure they know the full model number and ask them to bring a control board with them just in case it needs it. Otherwise they may decide they have to go away & get one and charge extra for the 2nd trip out. Some do that.

I turned it on and advanced to final spin. No abnormal noise, except the normal pumping out the water noise, then spun right through to the end. The power turning off appears to be in the wash cycle only a couple of minutes in. We have turned the machine on its back and checked underneath for anything obvious. The impeller? fan was dusty but spun freely. Have cleaned it all and tried again, but again, powered off after only 2 or 3 minutes. I live in Townsville NQ and am going through the local service agents.

It might if it overheats too many times it can damage the control board. If the pump is at fault that is. Just read your further info. You might just have a blockage in the pump. Put machine power on and advance to final spin. Press start and listen. If you can hear a slight humming noise from down below then that is the pump trying to go and will overheat if left humming for too long. You then only have to free up the pump and problem will be solved & you could cancel the service call. Why can't they come until Monday? What city are you in?

Thanks Lincoln - If I keep using it till the repairman gets here, will it make things worse?

Could be a faulty drain pump. If it overheats it will shut power off for about 10 - 20 minutes and then come back on when it cools down.

Further info - I turned the machine on again. It said a minute to go but I turned it off and then back on again and just pressed the start button. The machine started with sensing the water level, the did the sensing fabric type, then went to extra soft wash and 19 minutes to go. Then 18, then 17, sat on first rinse for about a minute and then turned itself off. Not sure, but I thought I could detect a slight burning smell and the back of the panel is slightly warm in the centre. Serviceman cannot come until Monday next week. Any suggestions until then would be welcome.
