my daf air pump is struggling to get up to pressure can take 10 mins or so to get away also cab does not tilt if the worst comes to the worst can i change the pump relitivly easy or does engine have to be removed

you need to go around with a squeezy bottle of soapy water, checking all valves and connections for air leaks also actuators and foot and hand valves for leaks dont forget to check pipes from exhaust ports they may be extended and cable tied to other pipes.check all pipes and connections also.not forgetting other air operated systems like clutch booster/air suspension/air suspended seat etc-if any fitted!

thanks for suggestions , no audiable air leaks, but when left overnight air drops just into the red on the guages which puts the brakes on

As already said but if the pump is pumping ok with pipe disconected, reconect pipe and disconect further towards tanks and re-check, ive known the pipes or hoses to block with years of carbon build up!!

disconnect outlet pipe and check for air pressure when engine running, check one way valve,fitted on compressor outlet pipe-may be at fault,also check flexible pipe from engine to chassis isn't leaking.are air tank drain valves/taps closing ok and not leaking.
