iveco 35s11 won't start?

hi all . My van (2.8 litre 35s11 1999/2000 model) cut out as i was turning it round outside my house and wont start now. it has always fired up with no problem as it did the day it cut out. The battery is good and i also used an additional portable power pack. Couldn't see any air bubbles in fuel pipe coming from filter and i cracked the nuts on the injectors and have fuel spraying out when i turn the engine over. Tried easy start directly into the air intake and she fires up for a few seconds then stops.i put a 12v supply directly to the fuel solenoid on back of pump and can hear it clicking but also removed spool from within solenoid incase it was stuck (the immobilser was removed about 6 years ago after becoming faulty and the solenoid fed via ignition switch) but still wont start? ..... any suggestions would be gratefully received

you were correct! the timing had jumped a tooth on the fuel pump! thanks for your response much appreciated . have now booked the van in for a new timing belt and an oil change .

is it smoking when turning engine over? have known timing to jump on these [on some models there is access on front cover for timing belt adjustment which tends to get overlooked], due to slack belt.also check fuel pump in n/s chassis rail for operation.
