melted timer control?

The timer control has failed with a strong electrcal burning smell and no longer can be turned. On last use it failed to stop the dryer at the end of the drying time and had not moved to cool finish. Is this replaceable or do I need a new dryer? It is a creda' simplicity' condenser dryer.Approx 9years old.

sure if you contact few suppliers youl still find replacement.suggest you inspect machine properly for any other wear to see if replacing timer is worth it in long run.normally not to expensive if rest of machine still in good working order.make sure all connections are secure cause a loose connection will cause overheating and you will loose the new timer in no time at all
