I bought a new, boxed, unused Amstrad e-Mailer Plus on eBay last week. It worked for one week but now the sign comes HOLD DOWN (EMAIL) BUTTON TO RESTORE SERVICE. This does not achieve anything and it can no longer be used as a regular telephone. Any ideas, please?

First off these phones will not work, even as a phone, unless you have a subscription to the Amstrad service. So do you have a subscription? If not, there's your answer.
