My 85 has. a problem the oil level low sign is on I took it to daf the removed all other fault codes but they could not remove that one and advised me to remove the dash board cluster but it did not change I removed the cable that goes to the oil sensor and still no change what could be the problem truck is running smoothly whilst that warning light indicates

Had the same thing new sensor, oil level on dip stick was the same on dash board so did not need to calibrate.cost £100.00

We unplugged the wire that goes on to to the oil sender unit but that fault is still on. How many oil sender units report oil level low so we replace them and were are they located

oil level low is not a fault code,so you can not remove it..if it is on because either the oil level is low ,the sensor needs recalibrating ,or more likely the sensor needs replacing ,i have never known the wiring for the sensor to fail ....by the way it is plugged in to the bottom of the sump...haven't a clue why you where told to unplug the dash ,that makes no sense what so ever ...
