Hi, I have a similar problem...

Just moved a door sensor for a powermax complete, moved onto another door. And now the alarm won't arm.

No warning messages are coming up so I'm co fused. Just says not ready and door not closed even though the sensor flash and recognise each other when close to each other.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Which VISONIC POWERMAX are you talking about?
Because the one they make does not have this feature.

You will have to take a look as to which batteries are fitted.

The standard visonic battery holder holds six AA alkaline batteries or 650mA/h rechargeable.

Its not uncommon to find a none standard battery pack fitted instead of the six cell cage.

Remove and replace battery/batteries as follows.

1 flip open keypad cover

you are removing the section of panel above the keypad to access the battery compartment.

2 look for a slotted cut out on the front edge of the cover.

3 place flat headed screwdriver into the slot and carefully twist the screwdriver to release the panel.

4 remove the screw that secures the battery compartment cover and remove the lid.

At this point the internel sounder will sound.

Silence the sounder by pressing the DISARM button then enter your access/user code.

Simply replace with like for like battery/batteries,if you wish.

Inside the battery compartment, you will see a selector which you can change to suit the battery fitment of your choice, (two stage,.)( for alkaline or rechargeable).

Ensure you set the selector according to your choice of batteries.

5 Ensure correct fitment of the battery compartment lid as this is on the tamper circuit.

6 reassemble...job done....
