Not sure if will work for all kenmore's, but this has worked on my Kenmore Elite quite guard 5.

Repeat the following button sequence:
High Temp Wash, Heated Dry
High Temp Wash, Heated Dry

All lights will turn on.

Hit 'Cancel'

Now run through a 'Quick Clean' cycle and see if you've still got an error blinking/flashing light at the end of it. If not, you do not have a system/board problem. Just an apparent 'reboot' fix was in order.

Your machine should have reset now. You just saved yourself a $95 service call.

Cheers,

Wow...I think this reset technique just save me a service call as well!

I have a Whirlpool Quite Partner III, Model number GU2500XTPB3. The "clean" light was flashing 7 times, would go off for a couple seconds, then blink another 7, etc... Only the "cancel" button would work.

Another web site mentioned unplugging the unit for a while to reset the control panel...did not work for me. Luckily I found your posting. My Whirlpool is currently humming along once again.

THANK YOU!

I just tried that and it still does not do anything. We just bought this closeout model at the store & installed it yesterday. I do not have any lights lit up at all -- it does not seem to have power but the garbage disposal right next to it does -- it's not the circuit breaker.

"On mine, model 665.1627, you do this:
Close the door (this may not be necessary but they tell you to do it): Then press these buttons one after another fairly quickly:
Heated Dry
Normal Wash
Heated Dry
Normal Wash
Cancel"

Exactly!
Dave D, You just saved me a service call !
Thank You, Thank You, and thank you again for sharing this!

You can probably get this info at 800-4my-home even after warranty. The guy I talked to today says he answers it about 15 times a day, so there is clearly a bug in the circuit.
