hi i have a fault with selecting 5th and 6th gears ie jumping out upon selection yet once in gear it stays in fine not sure weather could be gearbox fault or gear linkage fault any thorts thanks

you need to check the linkage first for wear etc ,as you say it is a difficult one ...if only jumping out when cold ,then try a thinner oil see if their is an improvement after that your looking at synchros

what type of box is it ..is it a zf ? 6 speed or 16 or a 5 ?
