I have a Smeg A1-1 cooker that just started to trip the rcd, I have plugged it into another socket to test it.
Have found that the grill top element heats up, the lower element heats up but the fan element does not.
Would this be the reason that the cooker tripped?

possibly.disconnect all wiring to fan element an try testing it.if it doesn't trip fan element looks likely problem
