vectra seatbelt warning light?

my vauxhalll vectra has a warning light that tells you if someone isn't wearing their seatbelt....how can i get it to work

I suspect this light is telling you that there is a fault in the airbag or seat pretensioners and not a light to tell you to do up a seat belt.

When you switch on the light should come ON and go off after 5 secs. If it comes back on again - its a fault as above.
