van wont start when cold?

when there is a frost in the morning my van battery sounds drained and my earth lead is warm

Battery struggling to turn engine over, could be battery is on the way out, they do not last forever. a lot of places will do a free battery check, checks the amperage out, to see if upto capacity. Cables will get warm, they always do, with the high current passing through, but usually you do not notice, if engine starts, Could also check your glow plugs make sure they are ok, all helps with cold start

get a good battery and try or use jump leads from another car and see if it helps it start better 1st thing in the morning.if it does get battery checked or replaced.
