Tumble Dryer?

My Zanussi TC7102W started to play up as it wouldnt heat up properly and dry anything.

I have got it down to one of the thermostats on the heating element, however, I cannot find them anywhere on their own, you have to buy the whole element.

The one thats gone has the markings Type 261/PB, 16(3)/250 ~ T175k.

Does anyone know where I can get this from as dont wanna spend the money getting the complete unit if I can help it. Many thank in advance.

The thermostat operates for a reason. Before resetting it, find the reason. It might be a blocked filter, blocked condenser or a more serious accumulation of lint. It might simply be that too much was in the drum - something is stopping the air flow to cause the stat to trip. Fix the cause first or you might have a fire on your hands and need a new kitchen/house.

If its the 261 pb with red dot then look on the back for a small hole,

gently push a paperclip into the hole to reset the stat,

if you hear a click........stat reset.

Thanks for Advise!!!!! all working as new!!!

OMG tanks so much, I didn't know you could reset it! Now I can start looking for the actual problem that caused it to overheat. Once again, thanks a lot guys, especially to paul!

Our Hotpoint Tumble dryer had the 261/P with red dot. Resetting with paper clip via hole worked a treat. Very loud click heard letting me know it had reset. Many thanks for this tip.

Top tip re the red one, inserted needle, heard the click, resistance checked, all working like a dream. Thanks guys

:-) Now my tumbledryer works again too..

Made a jumper, instead of the 261 pb, and installed the dryer outside :-)

Thanks

The klixon ELTH is sold as one unit,

however a T/stat kit can be purchased from
